The Civil construction is an area responsible for a large number of work accidents, as it has considerable exposure to several risk factors. Therefore, there is a clear need to adopt and implement measures that are considered preventive in construction environments. This work aims to highlight the importance of creating and controlling the PCMAT, based on the considerations imposed by NR 18. In addition to always aiming at preserving the health and integrity of the worker, the PCMAT aims to control environmental agents through periodic reviews . Thus, the objective will be reached through the bibliographical review of the approached subject, reaching the conclusion that the creation and adequate control of PCMAT in civil construction offers greater security to employees in this sector.
